Meet Nat

Born and raised in Bennington, Vermont, I first worked with clay in high school at The Putney School. I fell in love with clay and the community that ceramics practice inevitably brings. Ceramics is a team sport. At Bates College I majored in studio art (and U.S. History) and started to learn about the artistic context in which my pots lived. In 2014, I apprenticed with Shiva Prajapati, a production high fire potter, at Everest Pottery in Thimi, Nepal. The Everest Pottery team are production potters and taught me the true meaning of studio practice. Every day I work in the studio I strive to throw with as much joy and ease as Shiva and the Prajapati family.

I have since moved back to Vermont. I throw pots whenever I can!
